William Cullingworth and his wife Susannah Midgley of
Collingham, Yorkshire, emigrated to North America with at least
some of their children
about 1816. They became established in Richmond, Henrico, Virginia.
Being so far from places where the Cullingworth name was
familiar, it is not surprising that records in America appear under
Cullingworth, Cullingsworth, Collingworth, Collingsworth etc.
